Bespoke WEDDING INVITATION & ALL OCCASION CARDS Design Service

All our cards are individually designed to your specification. We pride ourselves on the care and attention that goes into the design of your card.

Design Techniques

We employ a range of techniques in our handmade cards including:

Embossing

There are two types of embossing, one where pressure is applied and the design is impressed into the back of the paper or card to create an embossed image on the front. The other one is placing an inked rubber stamp on the card and pressing firmly and evenly.   The ink stays wet long enough for you to sprinkle any colour of embossing powder on the design.   The excess powder is then removed, and the powder is melted by way of a heat gun, revealing a beautiful picture.

Iris Folding

A technique of working with folded strips of paper and layering them to form a pattern.

Rubber Stamping

Printing with a design on a block.   The name 'rubber stamp' can be misleading, although most stamps are rubber, some are made of foam.   I use many different designs, some of which you can see in my cards.  

Water Colour Painting

Mainly I draw and paint poppies, which are a particular favourite of mine.  I also water colour the rubber stamp designs, which makes them stand out beautifully.
